Ok, so I know that there are alot of people that are gonna be mad about this one, but who cares. This is MY blog...
Now, I like Beyonce as much as the next person but to me, she had to come full out on this CD. I mean, B'Day was not all that and I was on the edge of my seat, just waiting for this album. And for what?? I was so pissed when I realized the marketing strategy for this album.. Seriously B, your selling a two disc CD for 17.99 and theres only 5 songs on each disc. 5 SONGS!!! You trippin on some real SASHA type stuff. I just dont get it. People are going to buy your album simply because its a Beyonce album but to do all this extra "I am Sasha Fierce" mess then put out this CD, come on!!! Get it together lady..
Not to mention, the CD wasnt all that. I like a few tracks but I find myself skipping through it. Its one of those "its gotta grow on me" type CDs and thats never a good thing. Or maybe it'll force me to listen to it so much that I learn to enjoy it. Hell, I'd have to listen to it constantly for several weeks to feel like its a GREAT CD. Its good, kind of ok, but definitely not GREAT!! Needless to say, I am ver upset. I just expected more from this superstar. I mean, maybe if she wasnt so busy with the new hubby she would've had time to create a GREAT CD. Or maybe she should have just NOT put the CD out so soon, just waited a while or something. Honestly, I dont know what she could've done. Quite frankly, I like some of the songs I downloaded that werent on the CD better than most of the ones that were on the CD. HAHAHA, how ironic is that. Maybe she should've named the album, " I AM.... TRYIN TO MAKE MONEY" or "I NEED... YOU TO BUY THIS" or simply "I AM... JAY-Z'S WIFE".. Hell, that would've made me and a few others pick up the CD the day it dropped!!! Dont get me wrong, Im sure she put up big numbers and Im sure several people ran to Wal-Mart to purchase the overly priced, double-disc CD. But as for me the glorious, I am... Sasha Fierce album gets a C-. Not a great CD but it was ok. Not very moving but it was interesting. And the overall introduction of Sasha Fierce as her alter-ego, could've been better. But please, dont take my word for it. Support our black people and spend the 20 dollars you need for groceries (since they are high as hell now) and purchase Beyonce's new album. And let me burn a copy!!!! hahahahaha

I love you honey and you know that but I couldn't even get past your first few sentences. where did you pay 17.99 at? I bought the special edition for 15.99 and I got atleast 8 songs per CD. And the marketing stratgey is to get you to buy the deluxe edition so that you get more beyonce for a couple of more dollars. It is up to us the comsumers to decided which is the better buy (deluxe edition). O and the CD is great.

Anyway...I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS "SASHA FIERCE" CD! There was SO MUCH pre-game hype about it...then I listened to it in the car with Ty...and I REFUSE to spend a penny on it! If I can't burn it, I won't have it! TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!
Now...what I disagree with is your dislike of "B'Day"!!! She DID that! :-D
(P.S. I am slightly confused about everyone having an alter ego. First we've got Hannah Montana and Miley Cirrus...which I just found out TODAY that they're the same entity! Now Beyonce and "Sasha Fierce". Gimme a break, people...!
HAHAHHA!!! I totally agree with "Kyra's Mom"... Beyonce knows she was so wrong for doing the cd the way that she did.. I just couldnt believe it and on top of all of that, she wants be to spend damn near 20 bucks on it!!! NOPE!!!
